Is trash picked up on Thanksgiving 2026 in Sachse?

Thanksgiving is a CWD-observed holiday. If your day falls on the holiday, collection for the entire week moves one day later, ending with Saturday pickup (Thu→Fri, Fri→Sat).

From the city Trash Collection FAQ (checked Oct 15, 2026): CWD observes New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. If your collection day falls on a holiday, the whole week moves one day and ends on Saturday. The 2026 bulk calendar PDF says the same — observed holidays delay service one day.
